30m
Ingredients + -
- 2 cups cooked or raw ground or finely chopped chicken
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard (optional)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 cup extra breadcrumbs or panko
- Cooking spray oil
- 1/4 cup mild BBQ sauce
- 1 bag of Ziba's Miel y Mostaza chips for serving
Preparation + -
- Step 1. In a bol, mix the chicken with the egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and mustard until you get a manageable mixture. If too soft, add a bit more breadcrumbs.
- Step 2. Take small portions and shape into walnut-sized balls.
- Step 3. Roll them first in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere well.
- Step 4. Place them in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
- Step 5. Cook at 190 °C (375 °F) for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown, crispy on the outside, and cooked through.
- Step 6. Once ready, lightly toss the bites with the mild BBQ sauce or serve it on the side.
- Step 7. Serve hot with Ziba's Miel y Mostaza chips for diping.
